Pick up the kids from school, go to the grocery store, cook dinner, get the kids in bed, wash clothes, get the kids up and do it all over again.
Kristen Scherer knows exactly what that’s like. As a single mother in 2006, Kristen had just left her husband, was pregnant with her second child and had moved in with her parents. “I had two choices,” she said on her web site. “I had to sink or swim and thought I’d try to swim.”
Opening its doors first to busy executives, Think and Do Partners LLC does exactly what the name suggests — “Thinks and Does.” Owner Kristen Scherer took her two years of cleaning experience and created a business that would cater to the every need of local busy executives and, now, residents.
Services include everything from managing personal checking accounts to running errands, scheduling vehicles for maintenance, pet sitting and plant care.
Beginning in the Ann Arbor area and later expanding, Think and Do Partners focuses on making life easier for people who might have too much on their plates.
“I love the personal relationships I have with clientele,” Scherer said.
Urging executives to focus on their companies instead of routine daily tasks, Think and Do Partners seeks to ease the simples stresses of everyday life. In its eight-year history, the company has widened its services to anyone in need of a little extra help, now servicing all types of residential and business clients.
Managing a household and business, Scherer is glad she decided to take the plunge and is now swimming with a growing business.
“Its a great feeling to be able to hire people and to take care of my clientele,” she said.
